Monarc Environmental

Monarc Environmental Pty Ltd is a multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy based in Melbourne but active in projects across Australia. Incorporated in 2003, Monarc had its origins in the Land Remediation Department of the former Victorian Gas and Fuel Corporation. Consequently, several key Monarc staff have long personal histories in environmental management in the utilities sector.

Monarc's key strengths lie in two broad areas - contaminated land and ecological management. Within the contaminated land area, Monarc's key strengths lie in environmental site assessments, soil and groundwater investigations, sustainable soil, site and groundwater remediation and the management of waste soil. As a spin-off from this work, Monarc also has expertise in resource recovery and recycling and in environmental risk and liability assessments.

Within the area of ecological management, Monarc is recognised for its strengths in ecological and flora and fauna surveys, in the development of Construction and Operations Environmental Management Plans, Net Gain Assessments, Offset Management Plans and EPBC Referrals and regulatory compliance and compliance audits, including independent reviews of assessments.
