Industry Association & Accreditation
Quality and Environmental Management Systems Accreditation
Monarc Environmental has accreditations:
- Quality Systems AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 and
- Environmental Management Systems AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004.
Under these accreditations, Monarc maintains a comprehensive suite of documented Field and OH&S Procedures for the various aspects of its work. Monarc Standard Procedures include developing dedicated Work Plans (including OH&S and Site Environmental Management Plans) and Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plans for each project. All Monarc’s staff actively follow these Quality Assurance processes.
Monarc is also accredited for ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and has implemented an Environmental Management System (EMS) to manage the development, implementation, review and maintenance of its Environmental Policy. Our Environmental Plan ensures prudent work practices and compliance with evolving legislative requirements.
Australian Contaminated Land Consultants Association (ACLCA)
Monarc Environmental is a member of the Australian Contaminated Land Consultants Association (ACLCA). ACLCA is strongly focused on the responsible management of contaminated land problems and minimising costs for cleanup while ensuring that no unacceptable human, environmental or financial risk is left for future generations to address. All members of ACLCA are environmental consultants who satisfy a number of stringent criteria, including being able to demonstrate a substantial practice in contaminated land management, as well as a written commitment to comply with ACLCA’s strict Code of Practice.
Australian Pipelines and Gas Association (APGA)
Monarc Environmental has been a Corporate Member of the Australian Pipeline Gas Association since February 2007. Monarc serves on APGA’s Health, Safety and Environment Committee and has extensive experience with helping APGA member companies to comply with the Association’s Codes of Practice, particularly the Code of Environmental Practice – Onshore Pipelines, the APGA – VFF Pipeline Easement Guidelines and the Construction Health and Safety Guidelines for Onshore Pipeline Projects.
Australasian Land & Groundwater Association (ALGA)
A number of the Monarc Environmental staff are members of Australasian Land & Groundwater Association (ALGA). ALGA promotes the restoration and management of land and groundwater for the benefits of human health. ALGA aims to spread ideas and knowledge between stakeholders and persons involved in contaminated land and groundwater. The association also supports and encourages research and development of science and engineering into sustainable management and remediation of contaminated land and groundwater.
Professional Environmental Women’s Association
Monarc Environmental is a member of the Professional Environmental Women’s Association PEWA. Professional Environmental Women’s Association (PEWA) is an association aimed at bringing together women who work in a broad range of sectors within the Victorian environment and sustainability industry to network, mentor, learn and share professional experiences.
